BACKGROUND:  Rogan was born the son of a prostitute, Elsa Marr, on Nar Shaddaa. When she died, Rogan started working as an enforcer in order to survive.

Overpopulated Homeworld: Nar Shaddaa (Origin): Born in a pleasure house in one of the poorer districts of Nar Shaddaa, Rogan had a difficult childhood. The difficulties of his youth, however, made him Streetwise, and led him to use the small pittance his mother left him when she died to make a small investment in the Balmorran Arms Company.

Revenge (1st Motivation): He is driven by one of the oldest and most primal causes in the Galaxy -- the desire to avenge some real or perceived wrong suffered. Vengeance may be justified or not, but it is a cold, heartless master that can drive the character to obsession. Myn and Tol Sundar betrayed Rogan's father and got him excommunicated from the Bounty Hunter's Guild. Later they ambushed and killed him on Dac. In addition to clearing his father's name, Rogan wants revenge against the Sundar family.

Always Get Paid (2nd Motivation): A man who doesn't get paid, doesn't eat or feed his family; starving while maintaining a fearsome reputation is still starving. His principles are largely economic and consist of tenets such as: work for the highest bidder, never take jobs out of sentiment, and accept no payment but cold hard credits. Rogan knows that if he doesn't get paid his family won't be able to eat, let alone live. He insists on always getting paid so that he can support them. Of course, when it comes to the Sundar family, things get more personal.
